Homeschooling Resources

I'm a homeschooling mom.  You can follow my homeschooling journey on my other blog, Educating My Children.  I thought that it might be nice to share some of my homeschooling resources here on this blog.  There are many that can be used to supplement with public schooling as well.  Enjoy!

Home School Enrichment - This is my favorite homeschooling magazine.  I subscribe to it and just love the articles and information.

Custom Tracer Pages - Great spot to make out customized worksheets for your kids.  Think math and handwriting especially with this site.

Do 2 Learn - Offering some great resources including songs, games, and activities as well as a place to print out pictures for visual schedules.  This is a great site for parents of special needs children.

Tinsnips - Special Education resource with some great printables.

DLTK's Printable Crafts for Kids - Tons of great printables including special items for seasons, holidays, and just about anything else you can think of.  Make memory games, dot-to-dots, coloring pages and more.

Starfall - Loaded with free online games to help kids with reading.  There is a paid version of the site, but the free version is just fine, in my opinion.

Coloring Castle - A great selection of coloring pages for all occasions, including individual states and maps and more!

Free Behavior Charts - Wide selection of behavior charts for everything from schoolwork to household chores to potty training.

Got Questions? Kidz - Bible questions answered for kids.  An excellent resource!

Handwriting Without Tears - A hands-on approach to teaching handwriting.  Our chosen method with Bean.  This is a great program for kids who struggle with fine motor skills.

A Beka - Great home school curriculum.  Our chosen method of instruction for both Bug and Bean on all the essential subjects.

Letter of the Week - Easy to follow curriculum, offered for free.  This is one I like to supplement with.

The Virtual Vine - Excellent teacher made resource for early childhood through second grade.  Filled with printables and thematic units and tons of other great ideas and activities.

LifeKIDS.tv - This is an awesome site to use for helping your kids learn about God and the Bible.  It is filled with videos, music, and tons of at home activities that include lesson plans.

Easy Fun School - Offers free unit studies, science projects, recipe and craft ideas, history activities and tons of other great homeschooling resources.

Kids TV 123 - A YouTube channel full of bright, fun, and educational videos for children.

Super Teacher Worksheets - Excellent source of supplemental worksheets for all kinds of lessons.

Donna Young - Charts, planners, and worksheets galore. This is one of the best resources ever.
